Picture was taken on 23rd February on our aimless driving in the rural Andhra Pradesh. Famous for fiery food.

such an amazing sight! i have a huge bag of the same kind of chillies in my kitchen right now. it is so cool to see where they might have come from.. neatly laid out like that, and so many!!

thank you very much for your comments. India is one of the largest producers of Chillies in the world. Chili consumption in India varies much through out the country. South of India, is known for their spicy/hot preparations. This particular picture is from the State of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. Andhra cuisine is especially fiery hot. The chillies are being dried before they are sent out to the markets for sale. You can detect the chillies miles before you can actually see them.

I am sure you must enjoy fiery hot food as yous said you have in your kitchen.

I love Indian food and also, I really enjoy Vietnamese and Thai food.. sometimes we cook styles like that at home. I just love that kind of chili pepper.

My step-mother is from Vietnam.. and the first English I remember her saying to me was a word of caution about those peppers! She made sure I knew not to touch my eyes after handling them, and yes.. she was so right!

:) I always wondered, how our most vividly remembered memories of our childhood are always related to foods.
